MH PGM PGD CET 2016 is popular known as Maharashtra Post Graduate Medical
and Post Graduate Dental Common Entrance Test. Directorate of Medical Education
& Research (DMER) conducts Maharashtra Entrance Examination for admission
to Medical Postgraduate Courses (MD/MS/Diploma) Courses for the academic year.
Directorate of Medical Education and Research supervises the working of 42
institutions including Medical and Dental Colleges, Teaching Hospitals and
Health Units under its purview in order to achieve optimum academic standards.

ELIGIBILITY
CRITERIA:
Eligibility Criteria for PGM-CET-2015 for Medical
Postgraduate Courses:Candidate must be an Indian
National. Nationality Certificate issued by District Magistrate or
Additional District Magistrate or Chief Metropolitan Magistrate or valid
passport or School Laving Certificate of HSC/12th Std. indicating the
nationality of the candidate as “Indian” shall constitute the proof of
nationality (Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/Non Resident Indians
(NRI)/Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) are not eligible)
All candidates, those who have passed final MB.B.S. Examination and completed
or completing one year internship training by 31st March of that year from a
recognized medical college included in the Schedule of the Indian Medical
Council Act, 1956(Annexure F) and is
situated in Maharashtra are eligible.

‘Apply Online for PGM CET-2016’ link will be available on DMER website www.dmer.org.
Click on the above Link Application form link will be displayed. Click on
Application form link. Instructions page will be displayed. Carefully read the
Instructions for filling online form. After reading Instructions, applicant has
to click NEXT button to go to actual Online Application form (Annexure “H”)

Candidate should take printout of
Bank Challan. With this Challan pay the required fee in any Branch of State
Bank of India on Second Working Day onwards, from the day of Printing Challan
and obtain your copy of Challan indicating Journal ID/Transition ID. ‘Log In’
Link will be available on DMER website www.dmer.org to verify
the Application Form,

PGM-CET is conducted
at Mumbai, Aurangabad, Pune and Nagpur centers. Candidates have the liberty to
choose the center for examination as per their choice and convenience and
indicate the same in online application form/ Scanned Application form for
In-Service Candidates. If this choice is made, it will be final and binding.

The Competent
Authority will evaluate the answers and declare the provisional result or marks
scored by candidates on DMER website on mentioned date. The candidates should
login at website www.dmer.org to go through their provisional result/marks. The
final state merit list is generated after complete verification and mark
procedure and is uploaded.

EXAM PATTERN &
SYLLABUS:
·
Maharashtra PGM CET
is an objective type multiple choice test which consists of 300 questions to be
completed in 3.5 hours. While, Maharashtra PGD CET is also an objective type
multiple choice test which consists of 100 questions to be completed in 1.5
hours.
·
Each question is
multiple choice question or objective type with four answer options. Every
correct answer gains one mark. There will be no negative marking for wrong
answers.
·
This MH PGM PGD CET
will be of MBBS Examination standard and will cover all the subjects of MBBS
Course.

Selection Process:
The selection will be done as per merit (SML no.),
category and on the basis of Preferences (choices/options) given by candidates
in Preference form. The selection list will be declared on website. The list of
candidates (excluding in-service quota seats) selected for MDS/MD/MS courses
shall be displayed at the website of DMER i.e. www.dmer.org. As per the
selection list the candidate should report to respective course and college
along with original documents and prescribed fees. Candidate will not be given
separate selection letter.

Result:
The result
of MH PGM PGD
CET 2016 will be declared within a month after scheduled date of entrance exam.
The examination authority will declare result of only those candidates who will
score qualifying marks in the entrance exam. Candidate belonging to General
category must secure not less than 50% marks and candidate belonging to
Constitutional Reservation category & Constitutional Reservation category
with Persons with disability (PWD) must secure not less than 40% marks to pass
the MH PGM PGD CET 2016.
Counselling:
The examination authority DMER will conduct
MH PGM PGD CET 2016 counselling in three and more rounds for allotment of
MD/MS/MDS seats. The schedule, seat
distribution and procedure regarding preference form filling process and
details of further admission process will be made available to the eligible
candidates after the declaration of result. Candidate has to be present
personally for filling of preference form. Seats will be allotted to candidates
as per their preference and rank in the state merit list. At the time of
filling the preference form the candidate should bring all original documents
and a set of attested copies of the same in support of claim made in
application form i.e. Caste Certificate, Caste Validity Certificate, non-creamy
layer certificate, etc.
