SRM University, Chennai invites applications for admission to Bachelors of Technology (B.Tech) Program offered in various disciplines for the commencing session 2016-17. SRMJEEE is a yearly exam conducted for admissions to B.Tech programs at SRM University, Chennai. The notification for SRM University Joint Engg Entrance Examination SRMJEEE 2016 has been announced.

Eligibility Criteria

Nationality: The applicant for admission should be a resident Indian national and (i) should have studied in schools located in India in the preceding two years for admission to Undergraduate program (ii) should have studied in educational institutions in India and completed their qualifying examination

B.Tech (Kattankulathur Campus): A pass in 10+2 or its equivalent and (i) For all programs: Minimum 65% aggregate in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry (ii) For Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, Bioinformatics and Genetic Engineering: Minimum 65% aggregate in Mathematics /Biology, Physics and Chemistry and other campuses and SRM University Haryana: 60% aggregate in PCM or PCB

Apply Online with e-payment: Use the URL: http://admissions.srmuniv.ac.in/admissions_india/home register and pay Rs.1000/- online

Online with Demand Draft: Application to be filled online by visiting www.srmuniv.ac.in and the same can be downloaded and sent to us with the DD for Rs.1000/- drawn in favour of SRMIST, payable at Chennai

SRMJEEE-2016

Candidates who have attempted Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in the SRMJEEE are eligible for all the B.Tech degree programs

Candidates who have attempted Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the SRMJEEE are eligible for B.Tech Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, Bioinformatics and Genetic engineering programs and also for various programs in Health Sciences

Scholarships

Founder’s Scholarship: 100% waiver of tuition and hostel fees, and a montly stipend of Rs.1000/- for toppers in SRMJEE, JEE, CBSE and State Board Final, and outsanding sports performance

SRMJEEE Merit Scholarship: 75% tuition fee waiver for 101-500 rank and 50% fee waiver for 501 to 1000 rank in SRMEEE

Board Merit Scholarship: 50% tuition fee waiver for 200 applicants within 10,000 rank in SRMJEEE, and 95% aggregate in PCM/PCB in School final as per eligibility criteria

Admission Procedure

For B.Tech Program: The admission will be purely on the basis of the performance in the Engineering Entrance Examination conducted by SRM University

The candidates short-listed based on their performance in the entrance examination will be called for the counseling to be held at the SRM University premises in Kattankulathur-603203, Chennai

Paper Pattern for SRMJEEE 2016

i) General: Question paper will be only in English
ii) Questions are of objective type
iii) Each question has 4 alternate answers
iv) The correct answer has to be chosen and the appropriate oval should be shaded

SRMJEEE - 2016 Pattern of Question Paper

Part 1: Physics 35 questions with a total weightage of 105 marks
Part 2: Chemistry 35 questions with a total weightage of 105 marks
Part 3: Mathematics 35 questions with a total weightage of 105 marks
Part 4: Biology 50 questions with a total weightage of 105 marks
Total weightage 315 marks
Negative mark of 1 for every wrong answer in physics, chemistry & mathematics and 0.7 for every wrong answer in biology
