MANAGEMENT APTITUDE TEST (MAT) - Dec 2016
Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a standardised
test being administered since 1988 to facilitate Business Schools (B-Schools)
to screen candidates for admission to MBA and allied programmes. Govt. of
India, Ministry of HRD approved MAT as a national level test in 2003. Any
B-School - national or international - can consider MAT Score as an admission
input based on the Score Cards issued to the candidates. The largest test of
its kind in the nation, MAT will continue to be your passport to over 600
B-Schools across India.
If the number of candidates registered for Computer Based Test is few in a particular centre, these candidates have to appear for the Paper-Based Test on 11 Dec 2016.
MAT December 2016 - Important Dates

MAT December 2016 Eligibility Criteria
Check the eligibility criteria before commencing with the registration. The aspirants interested in applying for the MAT entrance test must meet the following eligibility criteria.
1. Candidate must have a graduation degree passed in any discipline.
2. The candidates pursuing their final year of graduation are also eligible to apply.
3. There is no age limit prescribed.
MAT Application Fee 2016
To register for the test, all the applicants will be required to pay a non-refundable application fee. The candidates can check the table below to know the amount of fee and for details of it payment.

MAT December 2016 Application Form
The application form for MAT 2016 December attempt has been released on October 5, 2016. The form can be obtained in both, online and offline mode. The candidates can access the link given here in this article to register online for the test.
The candidates registering online are required to create their student account by entering certain details, such as, Name, email ID, mobile number etc. and procuring the login credentials.
With the respective login credentials then, the students should login to the student account and fill the MAT December Application Form 2016.
The last date to apply online for Management Aptitude Test 2016 for December is November 26, 2016. For online mode, the candidates can pay the fee via the available payment windows.
The MAT application form can be purchased from listed study centre of AIMA or AIMA, Delhi office by paying the registration fee in cash. The last date to submit the receipt of submitted form is November 29, 2016

MAT December 2016 Admit Card
All provisionally registered candidates both for Paper Based and Computer Based Test can download their Admit Card from AIMA website link: https://apps.aima.in/matadmitcard.aspx on or after 03 December 2016 (Saturday).
Specific Admit Card is generated both for the candidates opted for the Paper Based Test and for the Computer Based Test. Admit Card contains Candidate’s Name, Form No, Roll No, Test Date, Test Time and Test Venue Address. Candidate has to strictly follow the date and time allotted to him/her in the case of Computer Based Test.
MAT December 2016 Exam Pattern
MAT is held in both, pen-paper mode and computer mode. In the exam, total 200 objective-type questions will be asked from 5 sections. The duration of the exam is 2.5 hours. For more clarity on the test pattern, the candidates can check the table and can also access the caption-head for obtaining complete details about these 5 sections and more.

MAT December 2016 Syllabus
There is no syllabus for MAT which is released officially. However, on observing the previous exam trends, the list of topics from which questions are asked in the test has been compiled.
MAT December 2016 Result
The result for the December 2016 session will be declared in the last week of December. The result of MAT will be available only in online mode. For checking the result, a link will be provided here in this article considering the ease of the candidates. The 6-digit Registration Number and 9-digit Roll Number will be needed for checking the MAT December 2016 result. The scorecard will furnish the sectional score of the candidates. The MAT score will remain valid for a year only.
MAT Cutoff 2016
With the release of result, the various management institutions accepting Management Aptitude Test scores will be releasing the Cutoff marks. The candidates must score the minimum score to get shortlisted for pre-admission processes. The shortlisted candidates are required to appear for the Group Discussions and Personal Interview to get selected further in the admission process. However, the cutoff for MAT has been similar for various sessions. Thus, it is expected that the Cutoff for September 2016 test will be similar to that of last years.
MAT 2016 Selection Procedure
The candidates scoring the required cutoff will be eligible to appear for the pre-admission processes of the Participating Institutes. The candidates must note that the selection procedure will vary with the Institutes. However, most Management Institutions will conduct Group Discussions (GD), Personal Interview (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT). The WAT is one of the important rounds where the candidate’s thought process and written ability is tested.
MAT December 2016 Participating Institutes
For each examination, the number of participating institutes varies. This year, for MAT December 2016, more than 500 Management Institutes are expected be accepting the test score.
