AIMA MAT February 2017 : Last minute tips and tricks

With the MAT exams only a few days away, its time for quick revision. MAT scores will help you in admission to Management programmes and MBA courses in over 600 institutes within India and a few international institutes as well. Here are some tips to help you score.

MAT Paper Pattern:

The test is divided into 5 sections of objective multiple choice questions. Each section will contain 40 questions. 

1. Language Comprehension: Time Suggested 30 mins

2. Mathematical Skills: Time Suggested 40 mins 

3. Data Analysis and Sufficiency: Time Suggested 35 mins 

4. Intelligence and Critical Reasoning: Time Suggested 30 mins

5. Indian and Global Environment: Time Suggested 15 mins

Total: 150 mins

MAT Exam Tips

1. Practice sample papers/previous year papers as many as possible and remember to check the answers so you are able to find your weak areas. 

2. Revise topics you make errors in.

3. Read general knowledge capsules from almanacs

4. Read and reread mathematics formulae

5. Keep at least an hour per day to practice calculations and approximations

6. Watch the news, this will help you with language skills and with general knowledge

7. Practice sample papers within the time frame you will have at the exam. This will help you get used to answering question papers at that time of day

8. If you get stressed, take deep breathes and then continue your studies

MAT Feb 2017: Registration, Application Form, Exam Dates, Syllabus

MAT 2017 – AIMA Management Aptitude Test 2017 will serve as gateway of admission to more than 600 B Schools. MAT February 2017 is the first MAT exam that will be held in the year 2017. Prior to that, AIMA conducted MAT December 2016. Both MAT December 2016 and MAT February 2017 are important for MBA / PGDM admission 2017-18.

Overview of MAT 2017

• Candidates who are either graduate, or in the final year of graduation in any discipline can apply by filling the MAT application form.
• Applicants will be issued AIMA MAT admit card.
• Candidate can choose any one of the two options to take the test: Paper Based Test Or Computer Based Test.
• MAT 2017 Exam will be of 2.5 hours duration with 200 questions.

MAT February 2017 Registration

Candidates can register for MAT 2017 February exam through online and offline process. The MAT February 2017 Registration has been started from 12th December 2016. In online mode, the application form is available from the official link (given above) and in offline mode, candidates can get the application form along with MAT bulletin/CD against cash payment from AIMA, New Delhi. Candidates submitting the fee through DD are required to send the printed application form along with DD to the address mentioned below:

Registration Fee:

The registration fee for MAT February 2017 exam is Rs. 1200/-. Candidates can pay the fee through debit/credit card or net banking (online mode) and Demand Draft (DD) payable at AIMA, Delhi or cash payment at the AIMA, New Delhi to get the application form along with the MAT bulletin.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have done graduation from any stream are eligible to apply.

Students should have scored minimum 50% marks for general candidate and 45% marks for SC/ST candidates.

There is no age limit for this exam.

Indian National and NRI students are eligible to apply.

Enter registration details and click on “Submit” button.

Note down your login details and login again to fill the application form.

Made the fee payment by choosing DD or any other online mode.

After fee payment, check the application status and also take some printout of the application form for further use.
