CMAT is a three-hour test. In 2012, it was
conducted in a period of nine days (20–28 February) in two shifts at 61 locations
in all over India.
The better of two scores will be used for admission
for 2014-15
The question paper comprises four sections:

Quantitative technique

Logical
reasoning

Language comprehension
·
General Awareness
There are 25 questions in each section. While each
correct answer carries four marks, each wrong answer will carry one negative
marking.
AICTE has now decided to conduct CMAT in Foreign
Countries for facilitating eligible NRIs/PIOs and foreign nationals to appear
in CMAT for seeking admission in institutions in India following CMAT merit
list for 2014-15 under special provisions defined in AICTE Approval Process and
against all vacancies left after completion of centralized admission in
management institutions.
Some basic things to remember
ü Duration
of test is 180 minutes (3 hours) .
ü There
shall be negative marking for wrong answers, for each wrong answer 1 mark shall
be deducted .
ü
A Trial test will be available from 12-Dec-2015.
onwards for the candidates to have a feel of the online test and navigation
functionality. Candidates are advised to go through them carefully to
familiarize themselves with the screens, layout, and navigation.
ü
At the test venue, each candidate will be seated at
a desk with a computer terminal and he/she will be provided with a scratch
paper for calculations. After the test, candidate must leave the scratch paper
at the desk. Rough work cannot be done on any other paper/sheet, as nothing
will be allowed inside the testing room. No breaks will be given during the
test.
