COMEDK UGET 2017: Exam Dates, Application form, Eligibility, Syllabus

Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMED K) conducts a state-level examination called COMEDK UGET (Undergraduate Entrance Test) to offer admissions to interested candidates in engineering and medical degree courses offered by colleges/institutes that are affiliated to COMEDK.

COMEDK UGET 2017 exam will be conducted on May 7 , across many cities in India for admissions to various UG programmes. COMEDK UGET scores are accepted by more than 150 engineering colleges, 12 medical colleges and 25 dental colleges in the state of Karnataka.

COMEDK 2017 Exam Highlights

• COMEDK UGET 2017 Application form will be available from second week of February.
• Around 187 colleges are participating in COMEDK UGET offering 29 specialisations in B.Tech.
• For MBBS and BDS courses NEET score will be accepted.
• COMEDK Exam will be conducted on May 7, 2017. It is an online test based on class 12th science stream syllabus.

COMED K Eligibility: For Engineering & Architecture Admission in Bangalore, Karnataka

Engineering:

a) The qualifying examinations prescribed for admission for B.E. is second PUC or 10+2 Higher Secondary or equivalent examination recognized by State / Central Government; the last two years of study shall comprise of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with English as a

compulsory subject.

b) The General Merit candidates should have passed with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% in respect of SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka State in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) and should have passed these subjects individually. Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Bio Technology or Biology or any other technical vocational courses as one of the optional subjects. However, changes, if any, in the eligibility criteria by the AICTE will be adopted.

c) An attempt in the COMEDK Entrance Test seeking admission to Engineering courses is considered adequate for figuring in the rank list.

d) Diploma candidates are not eligible to take the Entrance Test as there are no lateral entry admissions.

Architecture:

a) The prescribed qualifying examination for admission to B. Arch course is second PUC or 10+2 Higher Secondary or equivalent examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects along with other subjects or a 10+3 Diploma recognized by Central / State Government and having obtained atleast 50% marks in aggregate (45% in the case of SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka).

b) The candidates should have appeared for National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture with a minimum score of 80 out of 200 marks for both General Merit and Category students.

c) (i) There shall be no Entrance Test for candidates seeking admission to B. Arch Course.

    (ii) Candidates seeking B. Arch course shall submit separate application for participation in the Counseling.

Note: Notwithstanding the eligibility criteria mentioned as above, the changes, if any, prescribed by AICTE, COA or any other competent Regulatory Authorities shall be adopted.

COMED K Entrance Exam Application Process

Candidates can apply for COMEDK UGET 2017 online on the official website of this engineering and medical entrance exam. The important dates right from the start date for registration to result declaration as well as COMEDK UGET 2017 counselling dates will be available on the official website of COMEDK. 

Candidates can apply online from second week of February. The registration process will include the following steps:

Step – 1 (Registration) - Candidates have to fill a Request for Application (RFA) form. On successful submission, they will be given their login details.

Step – 2 (Fill the Application Form) - Candidates have to fill their personal and educational qualifications details.

Step- 3 (Uploading Documents) -  Candidates have to upload their recent size photograph and signature as per the specified dimension. They should also attach a photocopy of Date of Birth proof.

Step – 4 (Submit the Application Form) - After submission of the application form, Candidates have to send it along with demand draft of Rs 1200/-  to below mentioned address:

Mode of Fee Payment

Candidates can remit fee both online and offline. The can pay fee via credit card, debit card or net banking. In offline mode it can be paid through bank challan at any Axis bank branch.

SRMJEEE 2017 Application Announced | SRM University Admission 2017

SRMJEEE 2017 application form has been available from 18th November 2016. Eligible candidates can apply for SRMJEEE 2017 for B.Tech admission in the campuses of SRM University. SRMJEEE is popularly known as SRM Engineering Entrance Examination (SRMEEE). Candidates can check this article for getting information about SRMEEE application form 2017.

SRMJEEE 2017 Application Form

Students can fill the SRMJEEE 2017 application form through online as well as offline mode. The online application form can be filled online by accessing the official website of SRM University. Aspirants can also fill the application online and thereafter send the filled-in application with the DD of Rs. 1060/- drawn in favour of SRMIST, payable at Chennai. SRMJEE Eligibility Criteria

Applicant must be an Indian National or must have passed 11th and 12th class from the education board of India.

Candidates should have passed 10+2 with PCM/PCB and secured 65% aggregate marks (for Kattankulathur Campus) and 60% aggregate marks for other three campuses and SRM University, Haryana.

Students who have attempted Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in SRMJEEE 2017 are eligible for admission in all the B.Tech degree programs.

Candidates who have attempted SRMJEEE with PCB group are eligible for admission to B.Tech in Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, Bioinformatics and Genetic engineering program.

JEE Main 2017 Application Form, Exam Dates, Eligibility

JEE Main 2017 exam is the most sought exam among the students of India. JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) is a two tier examination (Main & Advanced) regulated by CBSE Board. Candidates can get admissions in B.Tech/B.Arch programmes offered by NITs, IIITs and other engineering institutions through JEE Main exam while IITs offer these courses through JEE Advanced exam. What is New in JEE Main 2017?

• The weightage of 12th marks will not be considered for calculating JEE Main Rank from 2017.
• There is no minimum criteria for 12th percentage for appearing in JEE Main 2017 exam.
• For the candidates to qualify for the admission in the IITs/NITs/IIITs and such other CFTIs whose admissions are based on the JEE (Advanced)/JEE(Main) ranks, they should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12th class examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST students the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class examination.
• All the Indian citizen candidates should possess AADHAAR card issued by UIDAI. At the time of filling application form of JEE (Main)–2017, the candidates will have to enter their AADHAAR number, name, date of birth & gender which will be validated with the UIDAI’s data.  In case, these particulars do not match, the candidates will not be able to fill the application form for JEE (Main)–2017. Therefore, the candidates are advised to ensure that their AADHAAR card has correct details of their name, date of birth & gender as per school records. If there is some mismatch in these details, the candidates should immediately get it corrected in AADHAAR data or school records, as the case may be.

JEE Main 2017 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates are suggested to check the JEE Main 2017 eligibility criteria before applying:

Age Limit: Candidate’s date of birth should fall on or after 01 October, 1992 for general candidates and 01, October 1987 for SC, ST and PwD candidates.

Candidates appearing/passed 12th or equivalent exam in 2015 or 2016 with PCM are eligible to apply.

Candidates who have passed 12th or equivalent exam in 2014 are not eligible to apply.

Number of Subjects in 12th: Aspirants should have minimum five subjects in 12th/qualifying examination.

Number of Attempts: Candidate can attempt JEE Main exam three times only.

Diploma (3 years) holders are also eligible to apply.

JEE Main 2017 Application Form

Candidates are required to fill the JEE Main Application Form 2017 only through online process. The application form will be available from 1st December 2016.

No other modes will be entertained to fill and submit the application form.

The last date to fill the application form will be 2nd January, 2017.

Candidate can submit only one application form. More than one application form filling will lead to rejection.

There is no need to send the printed application form to the CBSE Board.

JEE Main 2017 Exam Pattern

The JEE Main 2017 exam pattern for paper I and Paper II is given below:

JEE Main Paper I:

Courses: It is held for engineering courses (B.Tech/BE).

Number of Questions: It is consisted of 90 MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions).

Subjects: The paper will be asked from subjects as Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Language: Hindi, English (candidates can select while filling the application form)

Mode: It will be commenced via both; online & offline.

Duration: 3 hours.  (4 hours for the candidates having 40% or more disability)

Marking Scheme: 4 marks for each correct response.

Negative Marking: 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect response or multi-responses.

Duration: 3 hours. (4 hours for the candidates having 40% or more disability)

Marking Scheme: 4 marks for each correct response (2 questions of drawing will carry 70 marks).

Negative Marking: 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect or multi-responses.
