c. Eligibility criteria for Under Graduate (MBBS) Medical course is as follows:

1. The candidates should have qualified in second PUC or 10+2 or equivalent examination recognized by State / Central Government. The last two years of study shall comprise of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) with English as a compulsory subject.

2. The General Merit candidates must have passed these subjects (PCB) individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in PCB (40% in the case of SC, ST and OBC candidates of the respective State). The General Merit Candidate Must also secure not less than 50% marks (40% in the case of SC, ST and OBC candidates of respective state) in aggregate in PCB subjects in the Uni-GAUGE EMeD 2015.

3. The candidates who are appearing for the prescribed qualifying examination and expecting the percentage of marks as at (2) are also eligible to apply.

4. The candidate shall complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December 2015 i.e. the candidate should be born on or before 31st Dec 1998.

NOTE:The candidates aspiring for MBBS admission for the academic year 2016-2015 should follow the procedures announced by SDUAHER in due course of time.

d. Fee Structure.

As per the recommendation of the Fee Fixation Committee, the Annual Tuition Fee and other fees payable are as under, for the first year course of study. It also indicates the total course fee per annum.

SCHOLARSHIPS

The academy awards 20 scholarships for Under Graduate students (MBBS) every year. The value of each scholarship is Rs.25,000/- per annum.

10 scholarships are for students under general merit category (GM) and are named after Late Sri. Ramakrishna Hegde, Former Chief Minister of Karnataka.

10 scholarships are for students under OBC Category and are named after Late Sri. Devaraj Urs, Former Chief Minister of Karnataka.

COMEDK PGET 2016 - MEDICAL EXAM PATTERN AND SYLLABUS

The Entrance Test COMEDK PGET 2016 is mandatory for all candidates seeking admissions to PG Courses in Member Institutions of COMEDK for the academic year 2016-17

A merit / rank list is generated based on the candidate's scores in entrance test only

The scope of the syllabi for the Post Graduate Medical / Dental entrance test is based on the MBBS/BDS syllabus as prescribed by MCI/DCI respectively

There will be one separate test for PG Medical and one separate test for PG Dental Courses. Each test will have 180 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)

The time allotted for the COMEDK Entrance Test would be 180 minutes (3 hours); the COMEDK PGET entrance test will begin at 10.00 AM and end at 01.00 PM

i) Candidates are required to mark their answers in an OMR Answer Sheet (Optical Mark Reader)

ii) Each correct answer is awarded one mark

iii) No Marks will be awarded for multiple making (marking multiple responses) of any questions

iv) There will be no negative marking

v) However, in the event of a tie in score the principle of least negative responses (number of wrong answer) will be adopt

The syllabus of post graduate Medical and Dental entrance test will be based on the MBBS and BDS syllabus as prescribed by the Medical Council of India and Dental Council of India.

COMEDK PGET 2016 - MEDICAL TEST ELIGIBILITY AND IMPORTANT DATES

Candidates from all over the country can appear for the said entrance examination. The eligibility criteria for Post Graduate Degree / Diploma programs have been as published by COMEDK in its Notification dated 15.09.2015 and reiterated in the brochure notified on 09-11-2015 on its website www.comedk.org which are reproduced as under:-

·         Applicants must meet all the requirements stipulated by MCI / DCI from time to time.

·         They should have successfully passed their MBBS / BDS from an Institution recognized by MCI / DCI.

·         They must have completed or be completing their internship by 30th April 2016 at the latest.

·         The minimum percentage of marks in the COMEDK PGET – 2016 shall be 50% for General Merit candidates and 40% for the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe (All India) and Other Backward Classes belonging to Karnataka State.

·         They should have obtained permanent registration with the MCI / DCI or any of the State Medical / Dental Council.

• Candidates who are unacceptable:

1.   Candidates already holding a PG Degree in any specialty.

2.   Candidates who are pursuing a PG Degree / Diploma in any clinical specialty after securing the seat through COMEDK in the earlier years.

3.   Candidates having selected a seat earlier through COMEDK and failed to join the college so selected or failed to

4.   surrender the said seat at the COMEDK level or having joined the college failed to pursue the course.

5.   Candidates who have been debarred by COMEDK during the previous years for any examination malpractice.

Note:

1. Notwithstanding the eligibility criteria mentioned as above, the changes, if any, effected by MCI/DCI or any other competent Regulatory Authorities shall be adopted.
2. In the case of an Indian national with the recognized degree from a Foreign University, the degree should have been duly registered in the country where the degree is obtained and should also have been recognized by the Medical/Dental Council of India.
3. Rank list / Rank Card will be prepared only for those candidates who become eligible for admission to Post Graduate Courses as per the regulations of Medical Council of India / Dental Council of India.

DY PATIL AIPGMET - 2016 MEDICAL ADMISSION | ELIGIBILITY | iMPORTANT DATES

The eligibility includes:

1. The candidate, who possesses Indian Nationality, with a proof in the form of Nationality Certificate /valid passport, is eligible to appear for AIPGMET - 2016.
2. The candidate who has passed final MBBS examination from a recognized Medical College, included in the schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, is eligible.
3. The candidate who has obtained registration either from the MCI or from authorized State Medical Council after completing a one-year compulsory rotating internship.
4. The candidate who is still undergoing one-year compulsory rotating internship and is likely to complete it by 31^st March, 2016, will be permitted to appear at the AIPGMET - 2016. His/Her selection will be subject to completion of compulsory rotating internship of one year and registration before 15 April, 2016. He/she will have to submit documentary evidence from the Principal/Dean of the College regarding the anticipated date of completion of internship along with the application, failing which, his/her application shall be rejected.
5. If a candidate who does not fulfill any or all the above requirements or fails to pay the fees at the time of counseling he/she will not be considered eligible for admission irrespective of his/her appearing for AIPGMET-2016 examination & securing a rank in the merit list.
6. A NRI/PIO/FN candidate, who has passed the MBBS or equivalent examination from a College outside India, shall be eligible for the admission, provided he/she obtains registration from the Medical Council of India (MCI). Candidate under this category is not required to appear for AIPGMET-2016. Admissions will be made on the basis of inter-se merit as detrmined by admission committee appointed for the purpose by the Competent Authority.
