IBSAT 2016 - MBA ADMISSION EXAM PATTERN AND SYLLABUS

IBSAT Exam will be held in online mode only and the duration of the exam will be of 02 hours. Like any other management entrance exam, IBSAT will also have multiple choice questions and the motive behind the conduct of this exam is to judge the aptitude and basic management skills of the students. Strict knowledge based or some subject specific questions are not asked in the exam. The questions are basically asked from the sections of Reading Comprehension, Verbal Ability, Data Interpretation & Adequacy & Quantitative Aptitude. A total of 125 questions is asked in the IBSAT Exam.
Summary of pattern of exam:
·       IBSAT 2015 is an objective type multiple-choice test.
·       There are 4 sections in the test – Verbal Ability, Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Technique and Data Interpretation.
·       Total 125 questions are asked that to be completed in two hours.

IBSAT Exam Syllabus

#1 – Verbal Ability
It is essentially a Vocabulary heavy section, and to do well, a student is advised to develop a good command over words. It is the section included for examining the knowledge and skills of the appearing candidates regarding “English”.  Questions here in this section will be based on Fill in the blanks, Sentence Correction, Antonyms, Sentence Completion, Analogies, Synonyms & Para Jumbles, etc.
#2 – Reading Comprehension
This section can be regarded as most scoring one. Here candidates will have to read the given passage and will be required to answer questions based on that given passage. General reading and understanding ability of the student will be required here. For scoring high in this section, sample test papers can be practised rigorously by the student.
#3 – Quantitative Aptitude
Students having a good grip on Mathematics and quick calculations will not find this section difficult. But again, regular practise will help scoring high. Here in this section, questions will be asked from Geometry, Business Mathematics & Arithmetic. Questions in this section will be based on direct applications of concepts and formulae.
#4 Data Sufficiency & Data Interpretation

Students having knowledge of converting fractions into percentage, multiplication tables, square & cube roots, other calculation short-cuts and quick calculation techniques will be able to solve these questions easily and will take less time. Though this section may be too much time consuming but quite scoring also as each correct answer will help making good score. Questions based on Data Interpretation will be asked on the basis of Pie chart, Tables, Data Sufficiency & Bar / Line graphs.

2 year Management Program
  •    Graduation (any discipline) with 50% and above marks (as calculated by respective University) with medium of instruction as English.
  •     All applicants should have completed a minimum of 15 years of education (on 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 basis).
  •   Candidates not meeting the eligibility criteria of English medium in graduation have to submit the TOEFL/ NELT/ IELTS score by May 31, 2016.



IBSAT 2015
·       IBSAT is an online aptitude test conducted by The ICFAI Foundation For Higher Education (a deemed to be     University under Section 3 of UGC act 1956), for students seeking admission to the MBA / PhD programs of IBS      Hyderabad.
·        IBSAT is a Computer Based Test (CBT) and consists of multiple choice questions. IBSAT is of 2 hours duration    and is aimed at testing the applicant’s ability in quantitative techniques, data interpretation, data adequacy,      vocabulary, analytical reasoning and reading comprehension.

Candidates who have qualified based on IBSAT 2015/ GMAT® (2013 onwards) / NMAT by GMACTM 2015/ CAT 2015 score are called for the selection process at IBS Hyderabad in February 2016. The selection process comprises of Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

AUMAT 2016 - EXAM PATTERN AND SYLLABUS

As per the officials, the test will be conducted in both paper-pen and computer based modes. Students have to select the mode while filling up the forms.The test in both the modes will be conducted on December 12, 2015. AUMAT will be an objective type test with a duration of one hour. The test is conducted for the duration of 1 hour. There are negative marking wherein 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. The number of 50 multiple choice questions of one mark each are given. The different subject areas of the exam are General Knowledge, English Proficiency and Basic Mathematics.

Since this entrance tests are different for normal competitive exms,you need to prepare accordingly.Understanding the pattern is the key.Once you understandit,preparation becomes easy.You need to be fast nad accurate.
It aims to twst the student on the basis of their mathematical ability,logic and language skills.The test comprises four sections – QA,LR,General English and Business and General Awareness.

MAT 2016 - EXAM PATTERN AND SYLLABUS

The MAT May 2015 exam pattern will also remain the same over the months. It is an objective type test of multiple choice questions of 2.5 hours duration. There are 200 questions in total, 40 questions each in 5 sections. Each question carries 1 mark and there is negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

MAT entrance exam covers five sections in all. Scores of first four sections compose the final scores. However, institutions might choose to consider the score of the General Awareness section.

MAT scores are valid for one year for most management institutes. It help students in getting admissions in various management programs such as Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) in Insurance Management, HR, Finance, Marketing, Operations, and International Business, Post Graduate Diploma in Information Technology & Management (PGDITM) in IT Marketing, E-Commerce, Information Systems Management etc.

MAT 2016 Application and selection procedure

Candidate can choose any one of the three modes to apply:  
  • Register online at website link www.aima.in/testing-services/mat/mat.html with Credit Card or Debit Card(ATM Card) payment of Rs.1,200/-. Detailed procedure is given on the website link.

    Or
  • Obtain crossed Demand Draft (DD) of Rs.1,200/- in favour of “All India Management Association”, payable at Delhi from any bank. Register online at website link www.aima.in/testing-services/mat/mat.html  alongwith the DD details. Details provedure is given on the website link.

Or
  • Obtain Form with MAT Bulletin/CD against cash payment of Rs 1200/- from listed Study Centres of AIMA or from AIMA, New Delhi.
     Or
  • Register online by making payment of Rs.1200/- through Net Banking.
Acknowledgement of form: 
·    All forms received at AIMA are scanned/validated within 5 days and the form numbers of such received forms will be available on website.
     Furthur,your form is scrutinized and if found in order,it is provisionally registered.
·         MAT registration form received later than the due date is liable to be rejected.

Selection Procedure

Over 600 B-schools accept MAT scores for admission to their MBA Programme. Each B-school follow its own selection procedure; MAT score is considered only as the qualifying factor to get admitted.
After the declaration of the result, the participating B-schools will declare the shortlist of the candidates based on their cutoffs. The shortlisted candidates have to appear for the Group Discussion, Personal Interview and or Written Ability Test (WAT)/Essay Writing rounds.
On the basis of the admission criteria, the B-schools will declare the final list of selected students. Hence, the MAT May 2015 Selection Procedure will vary from B-School to B-School.

AAT (Alliance Aptitude Test) - MBA Admission Test | Dates, Eligibility, Exam Pattern, Syllabus
