MH PGMPGDCET 2016 : Selection Process

·         The selection will be done as per merit (SML no.), category and on the basis of Preferences (choices/options) given by candidates in Preference form.
·         The selection list will be declared on website. The list of candidates (excluding in-service quota seats) selected for MDS/MD/MS courses shall be displayed at the website of DMER i.e. www.dmer.org.
·         As per the selection list the candidate should report to respective course and college along with original documents and prescribed fees. Candidate will not be given separate selection letter.
·         In-service candidates shall be issued separate selection letters from Directorate of Medical Education & Research, Mumbai. Should report to respective Course and College along with original documents and prescribed fees. Candidate will not be given separate selection letter.
·         If the candidate does not report by prescribed date, then his / her selection automatically stands cancelled and he / she will not be considered for the subsequent selection process.
·         Status Retention of Admission: After selection in first/subsequent rounds, if the candidate desires to retain the same selection (subject & college) and does not want to take any further betterment, then he can do so by filling 'Status Retention Form' in the prescribed proforma of PGM PGD CET 2016 brochure within specified time period after selection which will be notified by the Competent Authority. 'Status Retention Form' is to be submitted to the Competent Authority through the college where he/she is admitted. However, candidate should note that his/her name will be deleted from the further selection process for the academic year 2016.
·         Candidates may resign before prescribe dates which will be notified in due course of time to be eligible for the PGM PGD-CET 2016 examination. However, such a candidate is eligible for subsequent admission process (PGM PGD-CET 2016) for the final round by personal appearance.
·         Process for filling vacant seats: After first round, the vacant seats and seats surrendered from All India Quota, if any will be filled in. For these seats the selected as well as not selected candidates who have filled the Preference form are eligible. For this process PGM PGD-CET-2016 merit list of eligible candidates will be operated from SML number 1 onwards. The candidate getting selected in round one will be considered for betterment in the subsequent selection process. The betterment herein means the higher Preference exercised by the candidate. The shift in such betterment shall be compulsory and mandatory except for those who have filled 'Status Retention Form.' on prescribed dates. Such a candidate who has filled Status Retention form will not be considered for any subsequent selection process. However those candidates opting for betterment will have to collect original certificates and admissible refund of fees as per procedure from previous college and join the new course and college within stipulated joining period.
·         All India quota seats surrendered back to State Quota shall retain their original character. Seat(s) remaining vacant due to non-availability of a physically handicapped eligible candidate, will be reverted back to the state quota.
·         Candidates cancelling his/her admission after prescribe date resulting in lapse of a seatwill not be eligible for the PGM PGD-CET 2017 & PGM PGD-CET 2018 examination.

·         Candidate should read PGM PGD-CET-2016 brochure for other relevant information.

MH PGMPGDCET(Maharashtra Post Graduate Medical, Postgraduate Dental Entrance Exam) 2016 : Exam Pattern and Syllabus

·         Maharashtra PGM CET is an objective type multiple choice test which consists of 300 questions to be completed in 3.5 hours. While, Maharashtra PGD CET is also an objective type multiple choice test which consists of 100 questions to be completed in 1.5 hours.
·         Each question is multiple choice question or objective type with four answer options. Every correct answer gains one mark. There will be no negative marking for wrong answers.
·         This MH PGM PGD CET will be of MBBS Examination standard and will cover all the subjects of MBBS Course.
·         The PGM-CET will be conducted at sub centers situated in Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur and Aurangabad Centers
·         The examination will be conducted in English Medium
·         PGM-CET paper will be of 3½ hours duration containing 300 multiple choice questions (MCQs)
·         Each question will be of single best response objective type with four answer options
·         Each correct response shall be awarded one mark
·         There shall be no negative marking for wrong answers

For MD/MS:
·         Duration: 3 Hours & 30 Minutes
·         Number of Questions: 300 Objective based multiple choice questions
·         Marking Scheme: 1 marks for each correct response
·         Negative Marking: No marks will be deducted for incorrect response
·         Syllabus: Exam will be based on the syllabus for MBBS programmes
For MDS:
·         Duration: 1 hours 30 minutes (90 minutes)
·         No. of questions: 100 Objective based multiple choice questions
·         Marking Scheme: 1 marks for each correct response
·         Negative Marking: No marks will be deducted for incorrect response
·         Syllabus: Exam will be based on the syllabus taught during BDS


MH PGMPGDCET(Maharashtra Post Graduate Medical, Postgraduate Dental Entrance Exam) : Application Procedure 2016

The details of online form submission process on DEMR website www.dmer.org are as mentioned below (Not Applicable for In-Service Candidates):
·         ‘Apply Online for PGM CET-2016’ link will be available on DMER website www.dmer.org. Click on the above Link Application form link will be displayed. Click on Application form link. Instructions page will be displayed. Carefully read the Instructions for filling online form. After reading Instructions, applicant has to click NEXT button to go to actual Online Application form (Annexure “H”)
·         Candidate should take printout of Bank Challan. With this Challan pay the required fee in any Branch of State Bank of India on Second Working Day onwards, from the day of Printing Challan and obtain your copy of Challan indicating Journal ID/Transition ID. ‘Log In’ Link will be available on DMER website www.dmer.org to verify the Application Form,
·         PGM-CET is conducted at Mumbai, Aurangabad, Pune and Nagpur centers. Candidates have the liberty to choose the center for examination as per their choice and convenience and indicate the same in online application form/ Scanned Application form for In-Service Candidates. If this choice is made, it will be final and binding.
·         The Competent Authority will evaluate the answers and declare the provisional result or marks scored by candidates on DMER website on mentioned date. The candidates should login at website www.dmer.org to go through their provisional result/marks. The final state merit list is generated after complete verification and mark procedure and is uploaded.

Application Form and Fees for Exam

·         The Competent Authority shall issue prescribed application form along with information Brochure containing procedures for admission to postgraduate courses
·         An applicant seeking admission to the PGM-CET-2016 will be required to submit single prescribed online application form (Excepts In-service Candidates) (ANNEXURE "H" Specimen Copy of online application form)
·         In-service candidates should submit in person Computerized Scanable Application form to the concerned Authorities (DHS, ESIS & BMC) as Mentioned in Rule No.8.3. (Annexure “I” Specimen Copy of Computerized Scanable Application form)
·         Cost of online application form of PGM CET 2016 and examination fee is Rs.3000/- plus Rs.60/- Bank Charges; this amount is not refundable (For Cost of Application Form of In-Service Candidates refer rule no 8.3.3)
·         PGM-CET-2016 will be conducted at Mumbai, Pune, Aurangabad and Nagpur centres. Candidate can choose the centre for exam as per his choice and indicate the same in online application form/Scanable Application form for In-Service Candidates
·         Such choice once exercised will be final and binding
·         Before filling Online Application form download information brochure of PGM CET 2016 / PGD CET 2016 and read the same carefully; the Applicants must possess the required criteria and education qualification as mentioned in the Information Brochure of PGM CET 2016/ PGD CET 2016
·         Candidate should preserve the (i) Bank Challan (ii) Copy of downloaded online form (iii) downloaded copy of Information Brochure for subsequent use

·         Candidates completing internship before 31st March in the same year or before, should submit an undertaking in the format given in Annexure - O at the time of document verification

MH PGMPGDCET(Maharashtra Post Graduate Medical, Postgraduate Dental Entrance Exam) 2016 : Eligibilty

Eligibility Criteria for PGM-CET-2016 for Medical Postgraduate Courses:
·         Candidate must be an Indian National. Nationality Certificate issued by District Magistrate or Additional District Magistrate or Chief Metropolitan Magistrate or valid passport or School Laving Certificate of HSC/12th Std. indicating the nationality of the candidate as “Indian” shall constitute the proof of nationality (Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/Non Resident Indians (NRI)/Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) are not eligible)
·         All candidates, those who have passed final MB.B.S. Examination and completed or completing one year internship training by 31st March of that year from a recognized medical college included in the Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956(Annexure F)  and is situated in Maharashtra are eligible.
·         The Medical College should have been affiliated to Non-Agricultural Universities established under Maharashtra Universities Act, 1994 or the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences Act, 1998 or Medical College affiliated to Deemed university as per University Grant commission Act of 1956 under section 13/A, situated in Maharashtra
·         The candidate should have obtained registration either from the Medical Council of India or Maharashtra Medical Council (MMC) will be eligible to appear for PGM-CET 2016
·         Candidates who have pass MBBS examination from foreign University are not eligible for PGM CET 2016
·         In-Service Candidates Eligibility for In-service candidates will be as per criteria laid down by the Public Health Dept for M.M. & H.S. Medical Officer candidates and by commissioner of E.S.I.S. for E.S.I.S in-service candidates
For BMC In-Service Candidate eligibility criteria will be as per criteria let down by Municipal Commissioner/Director of Brihan Mumbai Municipal Corporation
·         Application forms of the DHS In-service candidates shall be received by the Deputy Director of Health Services of the respective circles; the applications will be scrutinized by them and shall be submitted with remarks to the office of Directorate of Health Services, Mumbai
·         The forms of eligible candidates should then be submitted to the Competent Authority; for BMC candidates, the forms of eligible candidates should be submitted to the Competent Authority by the concerned office of BMC; and for ESIS candidates by the office of the Commissioner, ESIS, Mumbai
·         For In-service Candidates the cost of the Information Brochure along with Computerized Scanable Application Form of PGM-CET 2016 and the examination fee is Rs.3000/- to be paid by a Demand Draft/Pay Order drawn on any nationalized/scheduled commercial bank in favour of the “Director, Medical Education & Research, Mumbai” payable at Mumbai
This amount is not refundable
·         The MCI/MMC registration is mandatory for appearing at PGM-CET. Registration Certificate should be produced at the time of Document Verification process
·         Candidates, who were admitted to the colleges/ institutions which are now affiliated to the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik (MUHS) will be eligible till such time as they are awarded the degree by the University established under Maharashtra Universities Act, 1994
·         The candidates who are domiciled in Maharashtra and who have obtained admission under 15% quota for All India Pre Medical Test Entrance Exam (AIPMT) for MBBS course in the medical college/institution situated outside Maharashtra State and who have obtained the degree from a University situated outside the State of Maharashtra will also be eligible for PGM-CET-2016; such candidates should submit (i) certificate from the Dean of respective medical college stating that the candidate was admitted under 15% All India quota for MBBS course, and (ii) Candidate's Domicile certificate of Maharashtra State by virtue of residence
·         The candidate belonging to Backward Class must have claimed so in his online/Computerized Schnabel application form, failing which such a claim will not be entertained subsequently
·         The candidate belonging to Backward Class Category (OBC) should produce the Caste Certificate, Caste Validity Certificate and Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (wherever applicable) at the time of Document Verification process

Non-eligibility of Candidate

·         Candidates who have passed Final MBBS exam from institute located outside Maharashtra, except candidates who are Domicile of Maharashtra and selected under 15% All India quota
·         Candidates who have passed final MBBS exam from foreign university are not eligible; candidates who are not completing internship on or before March of the same year.

·         Candidates who have not obtained MMC/MCI registration

MH PGMPGDCET(Maharashtra Post Graduate Medical, Postgraduate Dental Entrance Exam)

MH PGM PGD CET 2016 is popular known as Maharashtra Post Graduate Medical and Post Graduate Dental Common Entrance Test. Directorate of Medical Education & Research (DMER) conducts Maharashtra Entrance Examination for admission to Medical Postgraduate Courses (MD/MS/Diploma) Courses for the academic year. Directorate of Medical Education and Research supervises the working of 42 institutions including Medical and Dental Colleges, Teaching Hospitals and Health Units under its purview in order to achieve optimum academic standards. Promotion of research in institutions is encourages. Despite existing financial constraints, efforts are made to provide maximum facilities required for students’ education (Under Graduate, Post Graduate, and Super Specialties), hospital services and research.
They carry MH PGM PGD CET 2016 that is Maharashtra Post Graduate Medical and Post Graduate Dental Common Entrance Test for those willing to do the courses.

Result: 
The result of MH PGM PGD CET 2016 will be declared within a month after scheduled date of entrance exam. The examination authority will declare result of only those candidates who will score qualifying marks in the entrance exam. Candidate belonging to General category must secure not less than 50% marks and candidate belonging to Constitutional Reservation category & Constitutional Reservation category with Persons with disability (PWD) must secure not less than 40% marks to pass the MH PGM PGD CET 2016.
Counselling:
 The examination authority DMER will conduct MH PGM PGD CET 2016 counselling in three and more rounds for allotment of MD/MS/MDS seats. The   schedule,   seat   distribution and procedure regarding preference form filling process and details of further admission process will be made available to the eligible candidates after the declaration of result. Candidate has to be present personally for filling of preference form. Seats will be allotted to candidates as per their preference and rank in the state merit list. At the time of filling the preference form the candidate should bring all original documents and a set of attested copies of the same in support of claim made in application form i.e. Caste Certificate, Caste Validity Certificate, non-creamy layer certificate, etc.
