MH PGMPGDCET(Maharashtra Post Graduate Medical, Postgraduate Dental Entrance Exam)

MH PGM PGD CET 2016 is popular known as Maharashtra Post Graduate Medical and Post Graduate Dental Common Entrance Test. Directorate of Medical Education & Research (DMER) conducts Maharashtra Entrance Examination for admission to Medical Postgraduate Courses (MD/MS/Diploma) Courses for the academic year. Directorate of Medical Education and Research supervises the working of 42 institutions including Medical and Dental Colleges, Teaching Hospitals and Health Units under its purview in order to achieve optimum academic standards. Promotion of research in institutions is encourages. Despite existing financial constraints, efforts are made to provide maximum facilities required for students’ education (Under Graduate, Post Graduate, and Super Specialties), hospital services and research.
They carry MH PGM PGD CET 2016 that is Maharashtra Post Graduate Medical and Post Graduate Dental Common Entrance Test for those willing to do the courses.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Eligibility Criteria for PGM-CET-2015 for Medical Postgraduate Courses:Candidate must be an Indian National. Nationality Certificate issued by District Magistrate or Additional District Magistrate or Chief Metropolitan Magistrate or valid passport or School Laving Certificate of HSC/12th Std. indicating the nationality of the candidate as “Indian” shall constitute the proof of nationality (Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/Non Resident Indians (NRI)/Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) are not eligible)
All candidates, those who have passed final MB.B.S. Examination and completed or completing one year internship training by 31st March of that year from a recognized medical college included in the Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956(Annexure F)  and is situated in Maharashtra are eligible.

Application Procedure:
·         The details of online form submission process on DEMR website www.dmer.org are as mentioned below (Not Applicable for In-Service Candidates):
·         ‘Apply Online for PGM CET-2016’ link will be available on DMER website www.dmer.org. Click on the above Link Application form link will be displayed. Click on Application form link. Instructions page will be displayed. Carefully read the Instructions for filling online form. After reading Instructions, applicant has to click NEXT button to go to actual Online Application form (Annexure “H”)
·         Candidate should take printout of Bank Challan. With this Challan pay the required fee in any Branch of State Bank of India on Second Working Day onwards, from the day of Printing Challan and obtain your copy of Challan indicating Journal ID/Transition ID. ‘Log In’ Link will be available on DMER website www.dmer.org to verify the Application Form,
·         PGM-CET is conducted at Mumbai, Aurangabad, Pune and Nagpur centers. Candidates have the liberty to choose the center for examination as per their choice and convenience and indicate the same in online application form/ Scanned Application form for In-Service Candidates. If this choice is made, it will be final and binding.
·         The Competent Authority will evaluate the answers and declare the provisional result or marks scored by candidates on DMER website on mentioned date. The candidates should login at website www.dmer.org to go through their provisional result/marks. The final state merit list is generated after complete verification and mark procedure and is uploaded.

EXAM PATTERN & SYLLABUS:
·         Maharashtra PGM CET is an objective type multiple choice test which consists of 300 questions to be completed in 3.5 hours. While, Maharashtra PGD CET is also an objective type multiple choice test which consists of 100 questions to be completed in 1.5 hours.
·         Each question is multiple choice question or objective type with four answer options. Every correct answer gains one mark. There will be no negative marking for wrong answers.
·         This MH PGM PGD CET will be of MBBS Examination standard and will cover all the subjects of MBBS Course.

Selection Process:
The selection will be done as per merit (SML no.), category and on the basis of Preferences (choices/options) given by candidates in Preference form. The selection list will be declared on website. The list of candidates (excluding in-service quota seats) selected for MDS/MD/MS courses shall be displayed at the website of DMER i.e. www.dmer.org. As per the selection list the candidate should report to respective course and college along with original documents and prescribed fees. Candidate will not be given separate selection letter.

Result: 
The result of MH PGM PGD CET 2016 will be declared within a month after scheduled date of entrance exam. The examination authority will declare result of only those candidates who will score qualifying marks in the entrance exam. Candidate belonging to General category must secure not less than 50% marks and candidate belonging to Constitutional Reservation category & Constitutional Reservation category with Persons with disability (PWD) must secure not less than 40% marks to pass the MH PGM PGD CET 2016.
Counselling:
 The examination authority DMER will conduct MH PGM PGD CET 2016 counselling in three and more rounds for allotment of MD/MS/MDS seats. The   schedule,   seat   distribution and procedure regarding preference form filling process and details of further admission process will be made available to the eligible candidates after the declaration of result. Candidate has to be present personally for filling of preference form. Seats will be allotted to candidates as per their preference and rank in the state merit list. At the time of filling the preference form the candidate should bring all original documents and a set of attested copies of the same in support of claim made in application form i.e. Caste Certificate, Caste Validity Certificate, non-creamy layer certificate, etc.

Maharashtra Post Graduate Medical Post Graduate Dental Combined Entrance Test MH PGM PGD CET 2014 is conducted for providing admission to the eligible candidates into Post graduate courses of the associated institutes. MH PGM PGD CET 2016 is a state level postgraduate medical entrance exam conducted for admission to 50% state quota seats in 25 MD/MS and 8 MDS programmes offered at the State Government Medical Colleges, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation Medical Colleges, Central Government Institutions like Tata Memorial Hospital and other Colleges/Institutions. ELIGIBILITY
To apply for this Medical PG Entrance Exam, the aspiring candidate must have done M.B.B.S. / B.D.S. from an institute recognized by Medical Council of India / Dental Council of India.
However, the candidates who will complete their internship before 31st March of the respective year can also apply.

Other Eligibility Condition for taking MH PGM PGD CET :
Eligibility for PGM CET :
A candidate must be an Indian National.
Eligibility for In-service candidates will be as per criteria laid down by the Public Health Department for M.M. & H.S. Medical Officer candidates and E.S.I.S. candidates; and Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation for BMC candidates.
The candidates who are domiciled in Maharashtra and who have obtained admission under 15% quota for All India Entrance Examination (AIEE) for MBBS course and who have obtained the degree from a University situated outside the State of Maharashtra will also be eligible for PGM-CET.
The candidate who has obtained MBBS degree from a Deemed University is not eligible to appear for PGM-CET.
Eligibility for PGD CET :
A candidate must be an Indian National.
A candidate who has obtained BDS Degree before introduction of one year compulsory rotating internship training, i.e. on or before 1989, will also be eligible to appear for PGD-CET.
A Candidate who has obtained BDS degree from a Deemed University is not eligible to appear for PGD-CET.
A candidate should have obtained DCI/MSDC registration by the date of Preference Form filling process.
The candidates who were admitted to the colleges/institutions which are now affiliated to the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) will be eligible till such time as they are awarded the degrees by the University established under Maharashtra Universities Act, 1994.
Candidates who are domiciled in Maharashtra and who have obtained admission under 15% quota for All India Entrance Examination (AIEE) for BDS course and who have obtained the degree from a university situated outside the State of Maharashtra will also be eligible for PGD-CET.

Application Form and Fees for Exam

The Competent Authority shall issue prescribed application form along with information Brochure containing procedures for admission to postgraduate courses
An applicant seeking admission to the PGM-CET-2015 will be required to submit single prescribed online application form (Excepts In-service Candidates) (ANNEXURE "H" Specimen Copy of online application form)
In-service candidates should submit in person Computerized Scanable Application form to the concerned Authorities (DHS, ESIS & BMC) as Mentioned in Rule No.8.3. (Annexure “I” Specimen Copy of Computerized Scanable Application form)
Cost of online application form of PGM CET 2015 and examination fee is Rs.3000/- plus Rs.60/- Bank Charges; this amount is not refundable (For Cost of Application Form of In-Service Candidates refer rule no 8.3.3)
PGM-CET-2015 will be conducted at Mumbai, Pune, Aurangabad and Nagpur centres. Candidate can choose the centre for exam as per his choice and indicate the same in online application form/Scanable Application form for In-Service Candidates
Such choice once exercised will be final and binding
The information Brochure and online application Form will be available from 01st December 2014 to 15th December 2014
Before filling Online Application form download information brochure of PGM CET 2015 and read the same carefully; the Applicants must possess the required criteria and education qualification as mentioned in the Information Brochure of PGM CET 2015
Candidate should preserve the (i) Bank Challan (ii) Copy of downloaded online form (iii) downloaded copy of Information Brochure for subsequent use
Candidates completing internship before 31st March 2015 should submit an undertaking in the format given in Annexure - O at the time of document verification

MH PGM PGD CET 2016 Exam Pattern: The entrance exam of MH PGM PGD CET 2016 will be a pen & paper based test as per the syllabus prescribed by the examination authority. The online question booklet of MH PGM PGD CET 2016 will have questions based on the topics taught during MBBS programmes
For MD/MS:
·         Duration: 3 Hours & 30 Minutes
·         Number of Questions: 300 Objective based multiple choice questions
·         Marking Scheme: 1 marks for each correct response
·         Negative Marking: No marks will be deducted for incorrect response
·         Syllabus: Exam will be based on the syllabus for MBBS programmes

For MDS:
·         Duration: 1 hours 30 minutes (90 minutes)
·         No. of questions: 100 Objective based multiple choice questions
·         Marking Scheme: 1 marks for each correct response
·         Negative Marking: No marks will be deducted for incorrect response
·         Syllabus: Exam will be based on the syllabus taught during BDS

MH PGM PGD CET 2016 Result: The result of MH PGM PGD CET 2016 will be declared within a month after scheduled date of entrance exam.
